What Is Up2Give
Up2Give claims to be a global correlation movement that is designed to create a culture of Philanthropy, helping to solve some of the worlds most obvious problems through the power of giving.
At the time of writing, the program is in a pre-launch state. The website is quite barren in the way of background information, offering no indication as to who owns the company or when it was founded.
Through some research done on my part, I managed to find out Jerry Lopez as the CEO of the company and Andreas Kartruz as the co-founder. With the domain name up2give.com newly registered on August 27th, 2019.
Lopez used to promote a couple of MLM companies before he jumped ship and got involved in the investment ROI type of crypto companies. While Andreas Kartrud has been involved in various crypto scams including Onecoin and Swisscoin. Both of them do not have a good track of record.
How Does Up2Give Works
Disguised under the name of ‘philanthropic donation crowdfunding platform’, in reality this program is just a cash-gifting program Ponzi scheme. It does not offer any retailable product or services. Members are simply making a donation with the hope that they can also receive donations in return.
The Giving Box
The Giving Box acts like a virtual donation box where you receive payments/donations. It will cost you $32.00 worth of BTC per month.
There is a certain ‘donation’ schedule that you need to adhere to in order to maintain your position. Failing to do so you will lose your placement and you will not be able to receive your ‘donation’.
It also comes with a ‘Simply Giving Tab‘ which allows anyone to participate in the donation without first becoming a member of Up2Give.
Up2Give Compensation Plan
Up2Give compensation plan is structured on a 6×2 matrix.
To get started, a new member has to pay a $32 + 0.005 BTC monthly fee and to recruit another 2 members who will also pay their $32 + 0.005 BTC monthly fee.
This will give you 0.01 BTC in received gifting payments each month, placing you at the Level 1 of The Giving Box.
Simply put, as more people donate to your cause, you get to move up in term of the level:
> Level 1: Donate 0.01 BCT to someone cause to receive 0.01 BCT from 2 filled positions for your own cause.
> Level 2: Donate 0.01 BCT to someone cause to receive 0.01 BCT from 4 filled positions for your own cause.
> Level 3: Donate 0.02 BCT to someone cause to receive 0.02 BCT from 8 filled positions for your own cause.
> Level 4: Donate 0.050 BCT to someone cause to receive 0.050 BCT from 16 filled positions for your own cause.
> Level 5: Donate 0.25 BCT to someone cause to receive 0.25 BCT from 32 filled positions for your own cause.
> Level 6: Donate 1.0 BCT to someone cause to receive 1.0 BCT from 64 filled positions for your own cause.

What I Like About Up2Give
To be completely honest with you, I don’t like the idea of this scheme. But I believe it can attract some people who are just starting making money online because:
1. It is easy to get started with, with almost no learning period required.
2. There is no product to sell, so there is no need to spend time studying, using, or reviewing the product.
What I Don’t Like About Up2Give
1. Not Sustainable
Up2Give is a cash gifting scheme that relies on constant recruitment in order to keep the scheme up and running. Once the market is saturated, new donation stop coming in
and the whole system will begin to crumble down very quickly.
Such a scheme is neither stable nor sustainable.
Sure, it can help you make some quick bucks easily if you are lucky, but it also can help you lose money within a short span of time.
Looking at the long term prospect of this scheme, it is basically non-existence. Once the scheme is gone you are left with nothing. So instead of wasting time working for Mr Jerry, why not build up some asset for yourself?
2. Ponzi Scheme?
A Ponzi scheme is basically a program without real product or services, and members make money by recruiting others into the same membership program.
Looking at how it operates, it reminds me of another program that works similarly and had been shut down by the FTC – MOBE.
Some Background About MOBE
Just a sidetrack story here…
On the surface, MOBE seems to offer real training and product. However, it was shut down by FTC for fraud in Jun 2018. According to FTC, MOBE had taken $125 million dollars from unsuspecting consumers who were seeking to make money online to better their lives, but instead, they lost thousands of dollars into this scheme.
Before they were shut down, they went great length to sue Kyle, the founder of Wealthy Affiliate, for allegedly calling them ‘another obvious scam’.
Long story short, the whole episode concluded with a happy ending – the truth prevailed, and Kyle donated half of the money awarded from the lawsuit to the victims of MOBE, in order to help them get back on their feet.
I am sharing this because Wealthy Affiliate is a community that I am proud to be in. It is a warm and helpful community, and this culture start all the way from the top!
Is Up2Give A Scam?
At the moment I don’t think Up2Give is a scam.
However, seeing that both the founders do not have a good track of record, I won’t trust my money with them. Not to mention that cash gifting scheme is operating in the grey area, so many things could go wrong with this which I would rather be giving it a miss.
For these reasons, I will not recommend Up2Give.
However, if you are still interested to make money online, keep on reading because I have a good news for you.
