My Unbiased Review For Wealthy Affiliate

What Simple Freedom Club Claims To Be

Simple Freedom Club claims to be an affiliate marketing school that allows you to learn while making money.

You get training on Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing and other offline marketing methods. There is no psychobabble, or hours of waste-of-time gimmicks or hype videos. They go straight to the point and teach you everything you need to know to create traffic, collect leads and close sales with automatic selling systems to help you create pipelines of cash from your own home business.

You can make money with Simple Freedom Club by promoting their membership package. You get paid 100% of the commission.

It means that once you make your very first sale, you get to keep all the money and your membership fee is covered.

However, your 2nd sales will be passed up to the member above you that qualified. Similarly, your referrals’ 2nd sales will also come to you. This is what they called ‘Reversed 1Up‘ plan, which you get to recoup back your investment by performing 1 sale.

How Does Simple Freedom Club Actually Works

Looking at how Simple Freedom Club operates, it reminded me of another product called The Fearless Momma.

Basically, the only way to make money with the Simple Freedom Club is by promoting Simple Freedom Club itself.

The training you will receive is all geared towards helping you to promote Simple Freedom Club. It is a MLM in disguise – not an affiliate marketing. Those training doesn’t really justify the price that you are paying – they are only there for recruiting purpose.

If you are looking for training and tools to hone your making money online skill, there are other options out there that better worth your time and money.

Despite what they told you, the main product of Simple Freedom Club is actually their membership program (with training provided), which cost anywhere between $35 to $1000 (extremely overpriced!).

There are in total of 5 levels of membership (including free trials):

1. Free Trials (free)

2. Member ($25 + $10 admin fee)

3. Academy ($200 + $50 admin fee)

4. Platinum ($400 + $100 admin fee)

5. Elite ($800 + $200 admin fee)

They are offering you 100% commissions on qualified sales (except for your second sales). You are qualified as long as your referrals sign up at the same (or lower level) membership level as you. And you only get your cut from the membership fee, admin fee will go to the company itself.

How To Make Money With Simple Freedom Club

There are 3 ways you can make money with Simple Freedom Club:

1. Direct sales: You get 100% immediate commissions from your own direct referrals (except for the 2nd sales, which will be passed up to your ‘upline’ – this is called ‘Reverse 1Up’ system).

2. Qualifying sales: Your direct referrals’ second sales, which will be passed up to you.

3. Override sales: Sales amount which your downlines are not qualified for (their referrals sign up at a membership level higher than theirs) which then passed up to you, if you are qualified.

What I Like About Simple Freedom Club

100% immediate commission is no joke, that itself is tempting enough. And you get paid upfront on each sale. You don’t have to own a sizeable downline in order to get your commissions.

What I Don’t Like About Simple Freedom Club

1. Pay-To-Play System

Being a pay-to-play system, you have to first purchase the membership for yourself, before you can earn commission by selling it.

And not just any membership level, because you will not be able to earn full commission from referrals who sign up at a higher level.

Imagine yourself being a regular member, spending the same amount of hard work, the same amount of time promoting Simple Freedom Club as compared to someone at the Elite level. And yet, when you get a referral who signs up at Elite level, you only get paid $25 and the rest ($775) goes to someone who didn’t even lift a finger for this sale. Do you really think you will be ‘okay’ with that?

In a system like, you have to be at the top level in order to make the most out of it. That is a brutal fact.

2. No Refund Policy?

There is no mention of any refund policy, my guess is there isn’t any.

It is the nature of such business model. And that is how members can get their 100% commission immediately, and directly from their referrals.

3. Pyramid Scheme?

A pyramid scheme is basically a program without real product or services, and members make money by recruiting others into the same membership program.

Sounds familiar?

Actually, a business idea like this is not new. It reminds me of a couple of similar schemes – MOBE and Digital Altitude. They are both high flying digital MLM companies that came crashing down because of their business practices.

Some Background About MOBE

Just a sidetrack story here…

On the surface, MOBE seems to offer real training and product. However, it was shut down by FTC for fraud in Jun 2018. According to FTC, MOBE had taken $125 million dollars from unsuspecting consumers who were seeking to make money online to better their lives, but instead, they lost thousands of dollars into this scheme.

Before they were shut down, they went great length to sue Kyle, the founder of Wealthy Affiliate, for allegedly calling them ‘another obvious scam’.

Long story short, the whole episode concluded with a happy ending – the truth prevailed, and Kyle donated half of the money awarded from the lawsuit to the victims of MOBE, in order to help them get back on their feet.

I am sharing this because Wealthy Affiliate is a community that I am proud to be in. It is a warm and helpful community, and this culture start all the way from the top!

Is Simple Freedom Club A Scam?

No Simple Freedom Club is not a scam.

Personally, I think Simple Freedom Club operates in a grey area similar to MOBE, which I do not agree with their practice. Therefore, I will not recommend this program to anyone.

But if you are really determined to go with Simple Freedom Club, my last piece of advice is that please do not sign up if you are a beginner. Beginners have all the odds stacked against them as they do not know how to differentiate themselves from others who bought into this program. I believe that experienced marketers will have a better chance to succeed in this.

A Better Way To Make Money Online

Making money online doesn’t always involve a big upfront investment.

The only way to do it is to find yourself a good program and stick to it, work hard, be persistent, then start generating money from the internet.

If you are still interested to make money online. I can point you the in the right direction where you can get the training that you need.

Look at these people, they are not some extraordinary genius, they are people just like you and me.

And one thing they have in common?

It is a total package of knowledge, training, and strategies that will guide you from a complete newbie to an extraordinary marketer.
