My Unbiased Review For Wealthy Affiliate

What Is Money Genie

Money Genie claims to be a social media network dedicated to helping people make money on social media platforms. They team up with huge corporations to provide offers that you can complete to earn money.

According to the info on their site, you get $35 simply by signing up, make $5 per referral and earn $1 per clicks on your referral link.

Honestly, it all sounds too good to be true because legitimate sites don’t pay that much for menial work like this.

There are a few payment proofs shown on their website, which are fake and I am going to prove it to you in a while. And if you happen to stumble upon testimonials on social media, be very careful, those people are likely victims of the scam themselves.

How Does Money Genie Works

Let me save you some trouble and show you how the members’ area looks like so that you won’t be risking your own personal information to do that.

From the dashboard, you will see that you can ‘make money’ either by completing simple tasks or by promoting Money Genie:

1. $50 Task Wall

We were told that there are a variety of tasks available and that we can get paid by testing out free apps, completing free surveys, or trying out free offers. We are supposed to complete each task only once.

But, is it really true?!

All that I can find are dubious contest entries that require more of your personal details.

2. Sharing Your Referral Link

Having trouble promoting Money Genie?

No worries at all, all the sales material has been premade for you. All you need to do is to copy and paste those images into your social media and post them together with your referral link.

You will get $1 per click and $5 for every sign-up.

3. Submitting YouTube video

The video title and description are all written for you. All you need to do is subscribing to Money Genie YouTube channel, creating a video (1 minute or more) telling your audience how much you have made with Money Genie, how it works, and why you love them etc. Once you have done that, enter the video link on the dashboard to earn $50.

4. Rewards Centre

As a token of gratitude, Money Genie has set up a Reward Center to reward your loyalty. You are given 1 Genie coin for every $1 that you earn, which can then be exchanged for various prizes that can be found below.

How To Cash Out From Money Genie

In order to request for a cash-out, you will need to meet the minimum requirement of 20 referral link clicks, 5 referrals,  and 5 completed offers. It doesn’t sound a lot actually, so it won’t be long before you can meet this threshold.

Now it is time for a reality check!

Something is definitely not right here. Think about it – free membership, easy no-brainer tasks, lucrative rewards for referring other members…

Isn’t that suspicious? Where does the money come from? There is no real income-generating business here and obviously, you do not build something out of nothing. Common sense tells us that we do not simply get paid by referring people to a site that has no real commercial activity associated with it.

If you are still not convinced yet, bear with me a while more, let me reveal to you the TRUE IDENTITY of this mysterious yet powerful platform in the next section.

Money Genie Ugly Truth Revealed

1. Close Resemblance With Other Scam Schemes

Do you know that there are probably hundreds other websites out there that looks just like Money Genie?

Let me show you exactly what I mean. Notice how similar these promotional materials are?

Cloutbucks and ViralPay are just another 2 scam sites that I had reviewed before. Both had only existed VERY briefly, a few months at most. They have to keep changing their identity because once people found out that they are not paying, the negative reviews will be everywhere and no one else will fall for it.

2. Money Genie Payment Proof

But… we saw many payment proofs on Money Genie site, right?

Let me show you something.

I performed a Whois search on MoneyGenie, which reveals that the domain was created on Oct 23, 2019

So tell me how on earth these people get their payment in May 2019 and Aug 2019?

Money Genie Payment Proof

And of course, if they can fake a few payment proofs, they can fake more of them. Don’t trust any other payment proofs that you have come across!

Even if you have stumbled across other so-called ‘payment proof’ from social media, remember that those are posted by other victims of this scam scheme too.

The amount you saw is most likely the account balance shown in their Money Genie account. They haven’t even cash out yet!

And when they do, they will be given a ‘withdrawal successful notice‘, which many people mistook it as successful payment. They will usually tell you that a processing period is required for the payout. But your money will never arrive on the scheduled date.

3. Potential Phishing

You may be puzzled as to what Money Genie is really up to. After all, it is free to join and they have not asked for any money from you.

Only that scams nowadays are getting more sophisticated.

For all we know, this could be a data harvesting scheme that steals your personal information such as name, address, phone number or even credit card detail (which is required when you are completing the tasks on task wall). Scammers are no longer just after your money, they want your personal information too.

That information can then be sold to the interested party in exchange for cash. As a result, you may be spammed and resulting in a loss of privacy.

And as you click away from the platform to complete those ‘tasks’, you may even land on some shady sites, like online casinos, unregulated sites etc, which could eventually lead you to trojan and viruses.

Is Money Genie A Scam?

Unfortunately, I do believe that Money Genie is a scam. When something sounds too good to be true, they often are! Be vigilant, and stay away from anything that is shady in their business practices.

Depending on which information you gave them, they can impersonate you, spam you, lead you to malware/trojan, hack your bank account etc.
