Services provided include

> website design
> internet marketing

Here are some featured clients of Domainite:

With so many services offered by the company, Domainite is in need to crowdsource for freelancers for their clients – especially in the area of writing and proofreading.

Proofreading is one of the final steps in the process of content creation. Most published article that you are reading on the internet will have a proofreader work on it before it is published. It is an extra step taken to check for spelling and grammatical errors. Some will even help to rephrase your sentences to get a better response rate.

How Does Domainite Work

Depending on which job you are planning to take on – writer or proofreader, you have to fill up the hire form separately. There are requirements to be fulfilled before you can get started.

To become a writer, you are to fill up your basic details together with sample work. However, there are no details on any specific requirements or qualifications they are looking for in their writers and editors:

In order to be a proofreader and to be hired as one, you need to be good at editing and spotting mistakes easily. You will be given a short write up which you will have to do the necessary correction.

The approval process generally takes them 3-4 days. If you are not selected, you might not hear from them at all.

If you are selected, you can then start to pick up the assignments you want. Typically, you get $1 for every 100 words written and the payment is sent weekly via Paypal.

Writing jobs may require some research to be done on your part. However, it is usually quite straightforward. In most cases, you are to write content for websites, businesses or even blog posts.

What I Like About Domainite

1. Flexibility

Since you have the flexibility to decide which jobs to take on, you can choose jobs that fit into your schedule.

You can take on as much or as little work as you want. It can be a side hustle on top of your daily job or a source of extra income as a student. However, don’t expect to get a full-time income straight away from this. Depending on the job availability, you may not get the number of jobs you want.

2. Weekly Payment

Domainite issues payments weekly through PayPal which is good because you don’t have to wait long before you get paid.

What I Don’t Like About Domainite

1. You Are Not Building Anything For Yourself

When you’re writing for a client, the onus is always on them – they are paying to have their work done. You don’t get credit and in many cases, there is no byline meaning your name isn’t even mentioned anywhere!

Ghostwriting goes entirely unnoticed by readers or viewers, no one knows that someone else was involved with creating content, neither do they know who did all those hours worth of research.

Have you ever thought about the possibility of making a lot more money with your article? It’s true! Many people are earning passive income by building blogs.

If you are not in urgent need of money, why not spend the time to build up your own blog instead?

2. Need To Sign Up For Extra Paid Services

If you want to become a freelance writer with Domainite, one of the first steps is to sign up for CopyScape. The fee will be 10 dollars per 200 uses and it will ensure all submitted work is original content not just copy-and-paste from other internet resources like Wikipedia or other sites online.

This adds to the overall cost even before you can start working with Domainite.

3. Low Income Potential

Domainite is a site that’s not very well paid. As a writer, you get $1 per 100 words written, while editor gets $0.25 per 100 proofread words.

In other words, you get around $10 for a 1000-word article. Honestly, at this pay rate, I will be better off offering my services on Fiverr. That way I don’t even need to pay for CopyScape!

Who knows, I can probably fetch better pay since Fiverr is a free marketplace.

In fact, if you are keen to write there are also other platforms like Copify which offer £14 per 1000-word article, which is a much better pay as compared to Domainite.

4. Skillset

You need to consider the skills and talents that you have that can be used in this work. Jobs like this require people with good writing abilities, creativity and basic computer knowledge. If you don’t have such skills, you may not be able to land the jobs you like.

On the other hand, if your skills are too great, the pay may not make sense for how much effort you put in. It’s important to know your worth. You can always do it in your free time, but for a full-time income, you will need something else that pays better.

5. Mindset

Freelancing has always been an outlet for people with different interests. Some freelance writers simply need the money, some do it because they love writing about a certain topic or subject matter etc.

However, in order to expand your skillset and stay afloat as an aspiring writer, you have to be able to take on projects that are outside your comfort zone. You have to write in service of your client’s desires – the way your clients want, and not what you think will work best.

When writing content, you have to expect that any ideas or points of view expressed in the article are not yours but rather those of your client – because they are. This means that even if something seems wrong or off-putting to you as a writer, it won’t be your place to say anything because what counts is how well it works for your clients and their readers.

Freelancing is all about understanding how businesses work from the inside out and knowing what makes them tick – this applies especially when dealing with ecommerce stores. From what I observed, it seems that many of them just don’t care about how their content sounds or what message it sends because all they want is sales.

If you are not comfortable with writing in such a way that is not your own, then it may be best for you to find other opportunities or even start writing for yourself.

So you like to write? Why not build up your own blog and be your own boss instead? It is not difficult.

Is Domainite A Scam?

No, Domainite is not a scam. However, due to all the reasons stated above, it is not my first choice when comes to a freelancing job.

In short, work is plentiful but there are better ways to make money! Know your worth and spend your time wisely.

An Alternative Way To Make Money Online

If you keep on writing for others, there will come a day when you realise just how much you could have achieved if only you had spent those time writing articles for your own blog instead.

While it takes time for a website to establish its authority, building your own blog offers more potential for income. Your website is an asset to you. With a website, you can monetize your content with advertising, affiliate marketing programs, or other types of advertising that are on the way that are more profitable than writing for others. With the right optimization, in time your site will get organic traffic from Google and you can rest assured that all of this hard work is paying off.

Sometimes, you just need that extra push to get you out of your comfort zone, start thinking long term rather than happily getting few quick bucks here and there!

Look at these people, they are not some extraordinary genius, they are people just like you and me.

And one thing they have in common?

They write for themselves.

Not only that, they have learnt how to do it the proper way by following one proven system.

If you are interested to find out more, check out the guide below. It will show you where to find everything you need to go from a complete newbie to an extraordinary marketer.
